Our Services

Routine Exams & Teeth Cleanings

Regular dental exams and teeth cleanings are essential for good oral and dental health. During your appointment, we will remove any calculus or plaque buildup from your teeth. In addition, we will check for any signs of oral cancer, gum disease, or other irregularities. At the close of the visit, we will floss and polish your teeth.

Pediatric (Children’s) Dentistry

Since they are still growing, children and adolescents have different dental health needs than adults. Our professional team ensures that younger patients feel comfortable, confident, and safe before, during, and after their dental treatments. By helping your child develop a positive association with the dentist at a young age, it can help them establish good oral health habits for life.

Single Visit CEREC Crowns

Dental crowns, also known as caps, can be used on both front and back teeth. This restoration option is typically used on teeth that are broken or severely decayed, or those where a filling is no longer an option. A dental crown can be made out of a range of materials, including porcelain. This improves the tooth’s strength and provides patients with a natural looking, long-lasting restoration.

We are proud to have incorporated single visit CEREC crowns into our practice. These types of crowns allow us to fabricate and place your new crown in one visit, saving you time and ensuring your crown is produced and placed by the same practice and not an outside lab.

Dental Implants

Replacing missing teeth is crucial to your dental and overall health. Leaving gaps in your mouth can cause your remaining teeth to shift, which destabilizes your bite and can cause discomfort.

A dental implant is an excellent restoration option to replace missing teeth that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth. It consists of titanium rods that are surgically placed into the bone beneath the gums. The rods then fuse to the jawbone and provide a stable foundation for a replacement crown, bridge, or dentures.

Surgical Extractions & Wisdom Teeth Extractions

If you have a tooth that is damaged beyond repair, a dental extraction may help you return to optimal health. Trauma, overcrowding, or decay are all possible causes for tooth removal. Our team will discuss available treatment options with you, as well as the best method to replace the tooth. Replacing the extracted tooth can help prevent problems with the surrounding teeth. We perform extractions right in our office to ensure you receive consistent care from the same dentist.

Root Canals

When a cavity reaches the pulp of a tooth, endodontic therapy, or root canal therapy, is used. Because your body is unable to treat this type of infection, it must be treated to avoid further issues. If you have a bad taste in your mouth, a sensitivity to hot and cold foods and liquids, or are experiencing pain and swelling in your mouth, you may have an infected pulp.

During this treatment, the canals of a tooth are cleaned and then sealed to prevent further infections. To restore full function, a crown, bridge, or bonded post may be applied to the infected tooth.

Orthodontics

Having orthodontics, or braces, to perfect your smile is not just a procedure for teenagers anymore. There are many options available to both younger patients and adults, including removable straightening systems. Together with you, we will determine if you are a good candidate for orthodontic treatments.

Invisalign

Using a series of removable, invisible aligners, Invisalign can help to gradually straighten teeth. These aligners are custom-made for each patient using advanced, 3D computer imaging technology and finely calibrated to shift teeth into the desired position. Invisalign allows you to discreetly straighten your teeth and enables you to eat what you want, when you want because the aligners are removable.

Gum Surgery

When your gums are unhealthy, it can cause greater problems for your oral health and overall health. During routine exams, we will examine your gums and clean the pockets along the gum line. This helps to prevent gum disease (gingivitis). If you are exhibiting any signs of gum disease, we will discuss the available treatment options with you, including gum surgery.

Veneers

A veneer is a conservative restoration option that can help correct a tooth’s imperfections, including stains, chips, and gaps. Typically made out of porcelain or other tooth-colored materials, a veneer is stain resistant and feels like natural teeth. Each veneer is custom-fit to cover the front side of your tooth. If you are looking to make significant, permanent changes to your smile, veneers may be right for you.

Bridges

A dental bridge is used to replace one or more teeth lost to gum disease, injury, or tooth decay. Your dental bridge is permanently fixed in your mouth to restore speaking ability, chewing, and to maintain your natural facial shape. Dental bridges are made from a range of materials including gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials and are bonded to surrounding teeth for support.

White Fillings

White or composite fillings are used to restore cavities and prevent future decay. They save natural tooth structure and are tooth-colored. This is a more conservative treatment than silver/amalgam fillings and provides protection against broken teeth in the future. In addition, it provides your tooth with improved color, strength, and stability. We will carefully match composite material to your tooth color and structure so it is virtually undetectable.

Dentures & Partials

Partials or dentures provide a great restorative option for patients missing all or most of their teeth. Both partials and dentures are designed to look like your natural teeth and enhance your smile. A set of full dentures may even give you a better smile than you had before! We work with each patient individually to determine which restoration option fits their oral health needs.

24/7 Dental Emergency Answering Service

We provide same-day emergency services and treat a variety of conditions including cracks, breaks, toothaches, and broken teeth. We also provide full denture and partial denture repair services. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please contact our office immediately at 519-336-8231 for care and after hours instructions.

Oral Sedation

Oral conscious sedation, also known as sleep dentistry, is a safe, effective treatment option for patients who have dental anxiety. Receiving this treatment involves a prescription for a sedative drug that is taken an hour before a planned procedure. The medication causes you to drift into a sleep-like state and become extremely relaxed.

The effects can last for several hours, so it is important to have someone bring you to and from your appointment and stay with you until the medication has worn off.

Laughing Gas

Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is safe and effective for patients of all ages. This type of dental sedation is a good fit for patients who experience dental anxiety. As one of the safest sedatives in dentistry, it allows the patient to remain responsive and conscious throughout the procedure, while helping them feel calm and relaxed. The gas is administered through a flavored mouthpiece, is non-addictive, and quickly eliminated from the body through normal breathing.

Digital X-rays & 3D X-ray Technology

Compared to traditional film, digital X-rays use small sensors. The advantages of digital X-rays include using 80-90% less radiation, saving time, and allowing our team to view enhanced images of your mouth and teeth. 3D x-ray technology allows us to gain a more in-depth knowledge of the structure of your teeth and jaw. These images give us the clearest view of your tissues while reducing the amount of radiation you are subject to.

TMD

The two joints that connect the temporal bone and lower jaw form the temporomandibular joint (TMD). Many people experience a clicking or popping sound when opening or closing their mouth and it is common for these patients to suffer from migraines or headaches. Many factors can lead to TMD disorders, including misaligned bites, teeth grinding, joint dislocation, and more.

We will work with you to determine what is causing your TMD disorder and which treatment option best fits your needs. Treatments include custom-fit oral appliances, physical therapy, relaxation techniques, and more.

Snoring Appliances

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea or have a snoring problem, a custom-fit oral appliance can help alleviate your symptoms. Worn like a retainer or mouth guard, an oral appliance will support your jaw and help you maintain an open airway.
